God Cares for Us

Matt. 6:25 "For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
Matt. 6:26 "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?
Matt. 6:27 "And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?
Matt. 6:28 "And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin,
Matt. 6:29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.
Matt. 6:30 "But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!
Matt. 6:31 "Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?' or ‘What will we drink?' or ‘What will we wear for clothing?'
Matt. 6:32 "For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
Matt. 6:33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Matt. 6:34 "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Mark 4:35 On that day, when evening came, He *said to them, "Let us go over to the other side."
Mark 4:36 Leaving the crowd, they *took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was; and other boats were with Him.
Mark 4:37 And there *arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling up.
Mark 4:38 Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they *woke Him and *said to Him, "Teacher,

"do You not care"   that we are perishing?

Mark 4:39 And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Hush, be still." And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.
Mark 4:40 And He said to them, "Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?"

1Pet. 5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,
1Pet. 5:7 casting all your anxiety on Him, because

He cares for you.

We can either look at the storm we are in, as the disciples had done, which can be overwhelming with its fierceness. Or we can choose to believe God cares for us and look for His care through the storm. God desires to show us He cares in ways as He had done for Marcia.

Luke 11:11 "Now suppose one of you fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?
Luke 11:12 "Or if he is asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he?
Luke 11:13 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"

Matt. 7:9 "Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone?
Matt. 7:10 "Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?
Matt. 7:11 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

Psa. 86:5 For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.

Psa. 118:29 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
